# Selecting & matching developers

At Lemon.io, the marketplace for vetted senior developers, matching a company and a developer is handled by a human team.

Here is what happens in the **24–48 hour** window after a client submits their hiring request:

* **Deep intake analysis.** A technical analyst reviews requirements, client call transcripts, and previous client projects, as well as implicit needs such as team culture, communication style, and pace, which are extracted alongside stack requirements.
* **Targeted shortlisting.** The Lemon.io team filters the vetted developer pool based on technical expertise, domain experience, availability, time zone, and communication style. Shortlisted senior developers proceed to a prep call so they arrive at the intro interview with an understanding of your project and their potential tasks.
* **Custom profile delivery.** A client receives **1–3 profiles**, each with a **written summary** explaining why each developer fits their specific needs and highlighting key points from their CVs that match the client’s project type or tech stack.

*80% of matches are delivered within 24 hours. 67% complete in under 10 hours.*

### **No CTO? You can still hire well**

When a client has no in-house technical lead, Lemon.io leans on its own vetting, walks you through each developer's CV and soft skills, and helps translate your requirements — often defined with a technical advisor upfront — into the right match.
