# Hiring through Lemon.io

While hiring a developer through Lemon.io, a client goes through three major steps:

### Step 1. Request

A client [registers on Lemon.io](https://magic.lemon.io/welcome) and shares their tech stack, project scope, timeline, and preferred hours (full-time 40h/week or part-time 20h/week) via the provided form.

Then it’s Lemon.io’s part! A human tech analyst reviews requirements and clarifies any gaps before starting the search. Within about **24 hours**, a client receives **1–3 carefully selected developer profiles** — each with a clear explanation of why they match their needs.

### Step 2. Candidate approval

A client meets their requested developer(s) and confirms the match. There’s an opportunity to run the client’s own technical interview or live coding session if needed.

### Step 3. Start & success tracking

A client makes a prepayment for one week or one month of work, and a chosen remote developer is ready to start. Through feedback forms, Lemon.io **monitors collaboration** to ensure it runs smoothly.

*Average time from request to developer start: 1–2 weeks.*
